Maxi Menja Lehmann
Maxi Menja Lehmann, born in 1985, studied Social and Cultural Studies at the European-University Viadrina and the University College London (BA). In her studies she put a focus on urban sociology and anthropology. After a research trip to Venezuela’s capital Caracas in 2009, she organised the exhibition El Proceso along with a group of fellow students.
To global prayers • redemption and liberation in the city she contributed an ethnographic case study on Pentecostal Churches of African origin in Berlin.
Besides, she has worked for theatre projects and theatre and dance festivals. In 2010/2011 she realised performances with children and youngsters from a slum area in Chittagong, Bangladesh.
Maxi Menja Lehmann lives and works in Berlin.
